The SAJ EK60 B3-16.0-LV is a 16kWh lithium battery for home solar energy storage. It uses deep cycle LiFePO4 cells with a 51.2V rated voltage and 314Ah capacity. SAJ built it for improved safety, long lifespan and an optimized user experience. According to SAJ, one unit with up to 16kWh can meet household electricity demand.
SAJ 16kWh Lithium Battery with 95% Usable Capacity
SAJ recommends a 95% depth of discharge, which gives you 15.2kWh of usable energy. In addition, the battery delivers 8000 or more cycles at 90% DOD (25°C, 0.2C). Its maximum charge power reaches 8kW, while discharge power reaches 10kW. As a result, it can run heavy household loads from stored solar energy.
Built-in Protection and Safety
The battery integrates overvoltage, undervoltage, overcurrent and temperature protection. It also includes a DC breaker. Furthermore, SAJ offers a built-in fire protection module as an option on request. The LFP chemistry adds a further layer of safety. This SAJ 16kWh lithium battery holds IEC 62619, IEC 62040, IEC 61000 and UN38.3 certifications.
IP65 for Indoor or Outdoor Installation
With an IP65 rating, you can install the battery indoors or outdoors. It stands on the floor and uses natural cooling. It charges from 0°C to 55°C and discharges from -20°C to 55°C. However, SAJ specifies an installation altitude below 2000m. The unit measures 430 × 790 × 224 mm (W×H×D) and weighs 110kg.
Expandable up to 256kWh
You can connect up to 16 batteries in parallel for a maximum of 256kWh. So you can start with one unit and add more as your needs grow. The rated charge and discharge current is 157A. Meanwhile, peak discharge reaches 300A for 10 seconds.
Monitoring and SAJ Inverter Compatibility
The battery communicates over CAN and supports real-time monitoring. SAJ can also upgrade it remotely. Overall, SAJ describes this SAJ 16kWh lithium battery as plug and play with SAJ storage inverters.
