The Circutor RBX-30-400 Three-Phase Reactor Detuned Filter is a rejection reactor for capacitor banks in installations with high harmonic content. It protects your capacitors and helps prevent resonance in the electrical network.

Overview

CIRCUTOR offers a standard range of rejection reactors with p = 7 %. They have a resonance frequency of 189 Hz for 50 Hz networks. For 60 Hz networks, a 227 Hz version is available on demand. This is the most common tuning value, because it avoids any resonance of the 5th harmonic and above.

The capacitor and reactor set also absorbs part of the 5th harmonic current. At the same time, it acts as a rejection filter for higher frequencies.

Custom Tuning Options

Some installations need other p % values, for example 5.6 % (210 Hz), 6 % (204 Hz) or 14 % (134 Hz), among others. In such cases, CIRCUTOR can build reactors on demand. It adapts them to any power rating, p %, voltage and frequency.

Construction

• R type (low power): low-loss plates with a copper conductor coil, plus suitable terminals for the connection.
• RB type (higher power): a magnetic plate core with multiple steel cores, which gives excellent characteristics and a low loss ratio.
• Aluminium band coils in RB models, or copper band on demand.
• Input and output connections on RB models that run through a plate.
• Vacuum varnish sealing on both types, so insulation improves, mechanical strength rises and noise drops.
