The CNC Single Phase 2P 275V SPD is a surge protection device from the CNC YCS6-C series. It protects low-voltage electrical equipment against surges from lightning or switching overvoltage.

Overview

The YCS6-C series surge protection device suits TT, IT, TN-S, TN-C and TN-C-S power supply systems. It works with rated voltages up to 230/400V at AC 50/60Hz. It can also act as equipotential bonding during a lightning strike. In addition, its design follows IEC61643-1, GB18802.1 and GB50057.

Installation

First, install the YCS6-C on the incoming side of the equipment it protects. Then connect it to the outer conductor (L) or neutral conductor (N) and to the earthing device. You can fit it at the boundary of LPZOA or LPZ1. Usually, it goes in the incoming low-voltage main distribution box.

Why use a surge protector

Lightning and switching can send short voltage spikes through the supply. As a result, these spikes can damage inverters, appliances, computers and control panels. An SPD in the distribution box limits these spikes before they reach your equipment. For best results, keep the earth connection short and in good condition. Also, ask a qualified electrician to install it.
