The Longi Hi-MO X10 650W is a bifacial, dual-glass solar panel from LONGi’s Scientist series (LR7-72HVD-650M). It uses LONGi’s HPBC 2.0 back-contact cell technology.
Overview
LONGi positions the Scientist series as its efficiency flagship for distributed solar. The range reaches up to 670W and 24.8% module efficiency. This 650W model delivers 24.1% module efficiency from a 2382 × 1134 mm frame. Therefore, it is a strong fit for residential, commercial and industrial rooftops. It suits roofs where every square metre has to produce as much energy as possible.
High Tech: HPBC 2.0, TaiRay Wafer and 0BB Structure
Hi-MO X10 combines LONGi’s second-generation Hybrid Passivated Back Contact (HPBC 2.0) cell with its N-type TaiRay silicon wafer. It also uses a busbar-free (0BB) cell structure. Because all contacts sit at the rear of the cell, the front surface stays completely free to absorb sunlight. The module has a power temperature coefficient of -0.26%/°C. As a result, it holds output on hot days, which is an important advantage in Pakistan’s climate.
Extreme Security: Shading and Hot-Spot Protection
Leaves, dust, bird droppings or nearby structures can shade part of the panel. In that case, the Hi-MO X10 helps prevent localized overheating. LONGi describes this as system-level protection that reduces fire risk on the roof. At the same time, it limits the power lost to shading. The back-contact cell design also improves resistance to impact and micro-cracks during transport, installation and long-term operation.
Higher Value: More Energy Over 30 Years
According to LONGi’s global energy-yield simulation, Hi-MO X10 outperforms TOPCon modules by up to 8.7% in energy yield. In addition, the bifacial dual-glass design (bifaciality 70 ± 5%) adds extra generation from light reflected onto the rear side. Degradation stays at 1% in the first year and 0.35% per year from year 2 to year 30. So the warranty still covers 88.85% of its rated power after 30 years.
Extreme Aesthetics and Durable Dual-Glass Build
With no gridlines on the front of the cells, the Hi-MO X10 has a clean, uniform appearance. For this reason, it suits visible rooftop installations. The module uses 2.0 + 2.0 mm semi-tempered dual glass in an anodized aluminium alloy frame. It also has an IP68 junction box with three bypass diodes. Its rating covers 5400 Pa front and 2400 Pa rear static loads. Finally, LONGi backs it with a 15-year warranty for materials and processing and a 30-year linear power output warranty.
