The Sungrow 10kW hybrid inverter (MG10RL) runs solar panels, a battery and the grid from one wall-mounted unit. It is built for larger homes with higher power needs. It accepts up to 20,000 Wp of recommended PV input across 3 MPPT trackers. When the grid fails, it switches your home to battery backup in 4 ms or less.
Whole-Home Backup with 63 A Bypass
The Sungrow 10kW hybrid inverter delivers 100% full-power backup output, even at temperatures above 45°C. In off-grid mode, it supplies 10000 W rated and up to 11000 W for backup loads. In addition, it can deliver 2 times its rated power for 10 seconds when appliances start up. A 63 A bypass switch also supports whole-home backup. Finally, up to 8 inverters can run in parallel for bigger systems.
Solar and Battery Flexibility
Each of the three PV strings accepts up to 20 A, so it matches today’s high-current panels. The MPPT operating range runs from 40 V to 425 V. Sungrow’s PID Zero technology also helps protect long-term panel performance. On the battery side, it works with lithium-ion or lead-acid batteries. For example, it supports Sungrow’s MGL060, MBL050, MBL120 and MBL160, as well as third-party low-voltage batteries. Charge and discharge run at up to 220 A / 10000 W.
Safety and Control
The IP65 enclosure is fan-cooled, with typical noise of 45 dB(A) or less. It also uses a dual-system pressure relief structure for added safety. In addition, AFCI arc-fault protection is available as an option. A 4.3-inch touchscreen gives you on-device control. Meanwhile, a multi-functional interface connects a generator, smart loads or a Sungrow string inverter. Because it supports CAN, RS485, Ethernet and WLAN, you can monitor the system through Sungrow’s iSolarCloud app.
