The SolarMax Onyx-Dual 10kW PV16000 Hybrid Solar Inverter (official model SM-ONYX-UL-10KW) is a single-phase IP66 hybrid inverter built for maximizing PV input power — up to 200% array oversizing is allowed across 3 MPP trackers, supporting a genuinely large 16,000W maximum PV input with a 30A PV input current rating on high-power modules. Peak PV-to-AC efficiency reaches 98.0%, with MPPT (battery-to-AC) efficiency above 99%.
Battery flexibility is a real strength here: 40–64V lithium-ion or lead-acid support, up to 210A charge/discharge current, 10,000W charge/discharge power, and lithium battery charge curve self-adaptation to the connected BMS. AC-coupled solar input is supported for retrofitting existing grid-tied arrays, and up to 9 units can run in parallel for larger installations.
Output is stable at 110% of nominal AC power continuously, with a maximum 11kW AC output and seamless backup transition under 10ms.
