The SolarMax SM-LFP 5.12kWh lithium battery (official model SM-LFP-48100) is the 51.2V, whole-home tier of the SolarMax LFP platform. It stores 5,120Wh (5.12kWh) of energy at a rated 100Ah, using a 16S1P cell combination.

Overview

This battery offers a cycle life of at least 6,000 cycles at 80% depth of discharge. Like the 24100 model, it also comes with a 5-year product warranty plus a lifetime free service warranty.

Charge and discharge current both run up to 100A. However, this model has a notably higher recommended discharge current (100A) than the smaller 12V and 24V models in the line. In other words, the 48100 aims to deliver close to its maximum discharge current continuously, rather than only as a peak rating.

For communication, it offers RS232, RS485 and CAN, just like the 24100. It also has built-in Bluetooth and WiFi, together with a touch LCD on the unit.

You can combine up to 16 units in parallel for larger commercial banks. In addition, the same complete accessory kit ships with the unit, including DC cables, a wall bracket, BMS cable, battery terminals, WiFi antenna and communication cabling.
