Overview
The Solax 5Kw On-Grid Solar Inverter is confirmed, via SolaX’s own official datasheet, as the X1-BOOST-5K-G4 model — part of the X1-BOOST G4 single-phase residential on-grid range (2.5/3.0/3.3/3.6/4.2/5.0/6.0kW). In addition, It’s a pure grid-tied string inverter (no battery input) built for residential rooftop solar without storage.
PV input supports up to 10,000W of array power at up to 600V max DC voltage, through 2 MPP trackers (1 string each) with 16A max input current per tracker and a low 50V start-up voltage. Also, rated AC output is 5,000W at 21.7A, with max apparent output matching at 5,000VA — supporting 200% PV oversizing so a significantly larger panel array can be connected than the AC rating alone suggests.
Maximum efficiency reaches 98%, with 97% European efficiency and under 3% THDi. Moreover, the IP66-rated, naturally-cooled enclosure (no internal fan) keeps typical noise emission under 25dB, and the unit operates reliably from -25°C to +60°C up to 4,000m altitude. Besides this, at just 11kg and 404×274×146mm, it’s compact enough for straightforward wall installation, with USB/RS485/DRM connectivity plus optional Pocket WiFi/LAN/4G for SolaXCloud monitoring.
